Honoring Pallet and the Work They Began

Pallet has announced it is closing after nine years. Pallet set out to help end unsheltered homelessness and to create living-wage work for people too often shut out of it. They did both. 

Pallet villages created more than 6,000 beds across the United States and Canada and sheltered an estimated 30,000 people. They helped change building codes, policy, and the way cities think about emergency shelter. Everyone working in interim housing today, BOSS Homes included, is building on ground Pallet helped build.

We worked alongside Pallet for years to move the mission to end homelessness forward. To the Pallet team, and to the fair-chance employees who built those shelters: thank you. Your work is still standing, and it is still serving people.

As Pallet put it, this is not the end of the work.
